Happy Birthday NESP!

It's been a fun first year.  It's hard to believe that it has been 365 days since we started this wild & crazy ride.  I started this thread to post memories and photos of that first day.  Mine are kicking around here some place.  I'll try to get them gathered together to share.

Where were you on the 21st of September, 2006?

I was at the Eastland Hotel in Portland, Maine getting ready to see the American Idol Live show for the 2nd time and even more excitedly preparing myself to see and meet the members of the Little Memphis Blues Orchestra.  I couldn't believe that they were going to make the trek from Alabama to Maine to see us!  If you all could have seen me the night I got the photo of the t-shirt that had the LiMBO tour dates on the back of it and it included Portland, Maine.  I immediately emailed Tim at Asylum and said that I had seen the shirt and could be please confirm that everything was final.  When that email came back to me saying that it was all set, I Snoopy danced all over the house.  The only thing that topped the summer of 2006 was quite possibly the summer of 2007.  With all of you and Taylor thrown in every other weekend or so...what a time it's been!

Long Live New England Soul Patrol! Woohoo
A very dear friend that flew up from FL to Maine for the AI & LMBO shows created this CD cover for the band. They were so impressed with it that they asked her if they could keep a copy of it for themselves. I thought she did a great job with it!

I can't believe I don't have a photo of the exterior of the Asylum! Here's an exterior shot of the Cumberland County Civic Center which was directly across the street from Asylum and where some of us did see Taylor perform that night.

OUR FIRST MEETING!!!!
Sebago Brewing Company in Portland, Maine

We had no idea what the next 365 days would hold...

(More photos to follow - now time for bed)
HuggyFun thread Amy!! I remember reading on the AI Boards all the people
that were meeting up to attend shows and thinking "I want to do that".
Joe and I went to AI concert in Worcester, and had fun, but I couldn't
see that being a regular thing Haha

Our group began to gel immediately. LOL 100 emails to Amy and
Tricia later, plus all the others. I could just tell it was going to be a
great group Huggy Actually, Portland exceeded expectations-who
knew what we would find when we all actually met? Fear Basically,
we found amazingly normal people who shared our obsession. Woohoo

Speaking of Portland, Sheryl will be at the Big E!! Fun stuff Huggy
Next to meeting everyone, my favorite memory is standing on a Portland street corner where at the same time we could stalk the Idols at the bus and hear the LMBO sound check.   I'm certain that no other "shadow tour" had it so good.
I had a great chat with Brian Less about our common native city.

This was our only real sighting of Taylor that night, it's Liz's photo but I'm sure she won't mind....

We ALWAYS wind up with a drink of two pre or post show, don't we girls? Haha

Me & Concetta - the friend that flew up from FL to see these shows with me.

I was dared to pose for this photo. I don't think the city of Portland remembers me...at least I hope they don't. Liz presented me with this guitar as the first NESP Spirit award. (Liz - why didn't I get a spirit stick?!? Haha )
